About African Advancement Campaign
Our Mission
Africa Advancement Campaign is a Ghanaian NGO established in 2001 with vast experience in food security , water and sanitation, institutional development, Women and Children empowerment; in addition catering for the right of men-of any age, class, ethnicity, religious identity such that they are able to live with dignity, justice and respect, asserting their rights and participating meaningfully in their communities.
We promote Livelihood, democracy and good governance in the following thematic areas: Skill Training, Food Security, Water Environmental / Sanitation, Education, Health and Value Chain Management.
The organization has five-member Board of Directors drawn from various professions (Law, Health, International Trade, Finance, Environmental Science and Civil Society). The Board supports the organization to achieve its mission by giving directives through the Executive Director to five management team at the head office. The management team reports to the Executive Director about the day to day activities undertaken in the organization.
AAC has executed projects ( some through collaboration) in Entrepreneurship, Skill Training, Food Security / Agribusiness , Environment including Solar PV installation and Biogas, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Climate Change, HIV Aids / STI /Vector Control and Management, Institutional Development for Businesses and Schools, Women Empowerment, Research and Development from 2000 to Date for Community Water and Sanitation, Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), GA East, South , West & AdMA Municipal Assemblies in the Greater Accra Region, Central Region ( Twifo & Komenda β Edina-Eguaofo β Abirim), Western Region ( STMA, Jomoro, Komenda β Edina-Eguaofo β Abirim , Aowowmin Suaman etc) Volta Region ( Hohoe Municipality ) , Eastern Region (Assin North District ) and Northern Region ( Tamale Metropolis and Savalugu Nanton District ).
Projects for International Organizationsβ such as Global Communities / USAID, Energy Commission, Ghana, Africa Future Forums in the USA, UN ( Online Consulting), Saratoga International, USA, Maventy International, USA / Madagascar, World Bank/Howard University School of Medicine , World Bank Distance Learning Network, Negro Women Groups, Africa Future Forums USA / Ghana among others were also executed successfully.
